A full editorial design project encompassing structure, hierarchy, data visualisation and print production - developed to create a repeatable framework for future editions.

Fera Science Ltd operates at the intersection of food, health and the environment, producing the research, testing and scientific evidence that underpin public health, sustainable agriculture and international trade.

The challenge of the report was not simply scale but complexity. The publication needed to communicate a year's worth of scientific, environmental and commercial impact to audiences ranging from government and industry partners to researchers, stakeholders and clients.

My role focused on shaping the editorial system that made that possible: developing the visual language, narrative structure and information hierarchy that could carry highly technical material without sacrificing clarity or accessibility. Typography, grids, data visualisation, photography and image direction were all designed as part of a single editorial framework rather than as isolated components.

The result is a publication that works equally as a printed report and as a fully interactive digital document, while establishing a template and production system designed to support future editions for years to come.
